Maxtor SA fix options

September 20th, 2009, 15:01

Anyone want to share opinions and techniques for fixing bad UBAs on Maxtor when there is no alternate SA for SS ? I have some methods for manually reallocating bad UBAs but it is time consuming and cannot be automated (yet). Also I want to talk about SA low level format.

PM ONLY.

Problem 90% solved and going to be automated. I revived and then successfully 100% selfscanned even a box of ATHENA 2Bxxxx , ARES 2Fxxxx and now working on N40P and CALYPSO... finally I will get rid of all these bricks and I'll have WORKING bricks at least...

I found some interesting applications : play domino, weld them on a bar and use as weight for my bodybuilding sessions, frisbee, non-conventional weapon...

How about using them to shod your stallions? Your coterie of charmed ladies is sure to be impressed with your inventiveness . . . Would that give you a 4 bit horse, or several horse bytes?

Ah... either ladies and horses are not so interested on HDD repair, but both can take advantage of a bit of my personal "horse power"...
