Hi,
Maxtor 6E020L0 - NAR61590, client has droped and motor's stuck, need help to recovery data. I's swapped motor, can run with ldr created by the HDD but client do "something" on platter and they make some scratch. It can get ready so fast if run loader without "Initialize HDD" and then also with "SA testing and recovery" and "SA surface verification". Can not run SA verification with "Reassign BAD sector writing" SA test tell that 22, 1D, 1B, 5E have badsector and all other OK. Can not run "Sector edit" so DE can not read to make clone HDD. Someone help?

Hotswap, rebuild translator on donor first.

Hotswap is not a good solution, but anyway, it is risky but sometimes helps in this level too.
Better if you do some steps before to protect the SA from more damage....

Thanks @HDD Spaz and @N.C.
I'll try to find donnor but, what a hard, 6E020L0 - Date: 30APR2003 - 4265 - KMGA was very old. I have only 2E46 - KGGA and 059D - KMBA. Do you think the head's weak so its can read only and can not write?

In this old drive, can be anything...
I can imagine light-bad spindle, vibrating platter, dirty head (caused by vibration), overheated head, and so on...
For donor, you can use any drive, like this:
6E0x0LxMMxxxx (MM should match with your patient drive, x are not important.)
K,x,xA

Why K,x,x,A? What does A represent? Always thought first 2 are important, head and preamp type.

In this drive the A is the preamp code, trust me.
