I there

I have a Seagate ST9320421AS drive and sometimes it makes a strange click. From what I read, it is a known problem and it is solved in SD17 firmware. That firmware is for ST9320421ASG drive but works in ST9320421AS. I upgraded my drive’s firmware to SD17 and it is true that it makes less “clicks” but when it clicks the computer hangs a little bit and I’m afraid that it damages my drive.
So, can someone upload the SD13 firmware?
Thanks for your time

Backup your data and replace the drive. It may not be just a firmware issue.

Back up and get a new drive.

I don’t think replacing the drive is going to solve my problem (ok, probably it solves my problem but is not what I want

). I have a ST9320421AS drive and now it is recognized as ST9320421ASG so, for now, it lost the warranty. Besides, the drive makes an annoying click with SD13 firmware but works well.
I know I should had made a backup from the original firmware… it is like the old story, “read the manual after breake the device” lol
If there is someone that could upload the SD13 firmware or a newer version for ST9320421AS (not the ST9320421ASG) would be great

Thanks for your time
