Wester digital external drive

Hi all, i have a WD external drive, for some reason it stop working, i took it apart and conected the HD (wd2500) to a PC and did a low level format whit HDDGuru LLF utility, then repartition the HD and is was working ok, last week it did it again, but now no matter were i conecte the HD it will not be recognize, not even if i try to use hdd regenerator. any suggestions

what is the most common cause thats makes a hdd not to be recognize? Power outage?

Read/write head failure.
