Deepspar Disk Imager - Timeout while waiting for DMA to wri

November 12th, 2009, 10:11

Hi

I am having problems imaging using DDI. THe DDI can detect both source
and destination drives. But when Start Imaging I see Initializing LBA
Map followed by Timeout while waiting for DMA to write sectors. I
suspected some problem with destination drive. I replaced with
different destination drives, all came up with same error.

Anyone came across this problem before?. DDI Imaging settings are
default.

Cheers
-Jag

Replacing the destination normally solves that problem for me.

Have you starting the fast primary pass, then stop it and restart, using the secondary pass with PIO mode turned on?

Are you using the supplied mainboard and modified IDE cable?
