IS IT HARD DISK FAILURE??

November 22nd, 2009, 11:23

my hard disk is seagate model no. ST340810A. its working paritally. that means when i save data in hard disk it restarts automatically specially when i try to read i write in d: drive. the computer takes about 25 minutes to boot.and runs pefectly then but i can't read and write activities in the hard disk, it will instantly make my pc freeze or restart. it takes lots of time to shut down. and when i turn on the pc it won't boot. then i have to go to recovery console and perform chkdsk /r repair.then only i can boot the pc.again the same process starts as described above. all the diagonostic tools failed to solve the problem. i don't have any viruses..is it hard disk failue?? can it be repaired?? plz help meh.i am great need of it.

Sounds like it is a failing drive.

Copy off all data, buy a new drive, and don't use the bad drive.

Simple enough . . .
