Offer: Company offers 25% down payment on recovery of drive. When listing is produced will send 25%. Balance will be paid after all data from drives is recovered. Urgent back up system received water damage when fire system sprinklers malfunctioned. No recovery company can perform this job?

We recently recovered data from two drives that had been victims of flooding in Atlanta and were under water, and one of the case studies is on our website. I'd be happy to inspect your drives at no charge. But if they are coming from a data company that has already inspected and rejected them, I'm not too excited about the prospects.

If you have access to DeepSpar's forum, you can see several examples of successful (difficult) WD head swaps that we performed. Each drive is different, and historical "success rates" as such are of limited help.

If interested, PM me.

The drives in question are not water damages. No other DR company or person has touched these drives. They have not been opened or tampered with. They are needed to restore the data from the water damaged units.

Hello Tyson,
WD alignment is a serious problem in the industry. Many companies have little to no success rate on this type of recovery.
We are from Greece. We have a very high success rate of WD drives. In the past month we have recovered over 30 WD drives various models with complete sucess rate on the alignment. If you need references please contact. I will supply all needed to you on this one.
The WD 5000XXXX is one of the most difficult drives to align the heads on
After 6 months of R & D a solution for this problem has been developed.
If interested in a successful recovery of these drives contact by PM.
We need 2 days to analyze the drives and then we give you the final price for each one.

Regards

Attached are a few photos of the drives

I only work for the company in question. The drives have not received water damage, have not been opened, no other company has looked at these drives. They have been in storage. Now they are needed for repaired to complete the work on the water damaged system to restore data. The company is fully aware of the problems they are facing with these drives in finding a DR company to repair them. They will offer as much as $3000 each for drive repair. I have supplied as much knowledge as possible from research into this problem.

Before sending drives to a DR company they are interested in the following:

1. What is sucess rate of recovery on WD drives?
2. How many sucessful recoveries has your company done on these models?
3. If possible what does your clean room look like - reason they visited several DR companies who claimed to have clean room. Only to find it does not exists.

Xronis - I will pass on this information you have supplied tomorrow when the company opens for business. I will be in touch further with you by PM. If anyone one else has an offer to make on this repair all will be considered and taken into account.

Thank you Xronis:

You company has recovered the data needed. I am amazed at the fast turn around time and professional working relationship this company has to offer. If ever anyone has a WD drive and needs it recovered I will recommand Xronis and his company in Greece for their work. I received a full posting on the data inside each drive and was able to choose what was needed for the recovery. The data arrived back to us in record time way before the date given to me by this company. The recovery cost were very reasonable and the professional work done by this company is outstanding. Thank you so much for all your help and if ever needed again we will use your company for all our recovery needs.

Pardon me for being skeptical of this whole post. Drives sent out to Greece on 11/29 and all eight have been successfully recovered and delivered back by 12/7?! Is Ocean Beach in Greece? Call me cynical but this whole thing sounds like spam. If I'm wrong I apologize to the offended parties, but if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

DMR and msurgeon - say as you like. I am not far from Greece and UPS does deliver here in less than 24hrs. I marked drives most import to do first. 4 drives were finished and I downloaded from FTP server just the necessary files I needed. I have files from one drive now pending to finish download for backup purposes. Two other drives are being done now and should have data back from them in two to three more days. These drives were not crytical for my needs but I sill need the data from them to finish the work.

All DR companies if you pay a high fee do emergency recovery and this is one company who did the job and in a hurry for the needs of the company I work for.

Xronis is a good friend of mine and I know of this WD solution and followed him in his progress of desinging this tool. I know for a fact due to the time difference between us this man never slept. He spent over 6 months on this tool and now has developed it and can recover any WD drive that is out there. This is no scam or spam as you might think on this one. I also know for a fact he did recover 4 out of the 7 drives he had to do this weekend. Three are waiting parts to come in for them. So it is possible for him to do these recoveries without question on the tool he has designed. Like all DR companies the design is not show to anyone. But if you know Xronis and would like to contact he might explain this one to you. I doubt it but you can sure try. I do not even know the tool and have not seen it. I just know what it can do and how he figured out the head alignment problems. I vote for Xronis on this one and know it is possible.

I too can vouch for Xronis. In fact, I have sent him WD drive in past and have spoken to him by telephone from my company here in USA. I chat with him regularly and know he can definitely solve not only this but other solutions you won't find publicly also.

Xronis is a good guy. He does know what he's talking about and outsourcing price is not too bad even paying International EMS cost compare to what's available here in the USA.

Hey, all r explaining before me. Xronis is my best friend in DR industry. During the development of the procedure, I would know the days and nights how he passed, without sleeping until late night, by talking to me long time, finally its discovered...

Awesome...

And the other problems wow, where no body shares tricks, he shared me a lot, and he is a broad-minded person personally.
