I need to build a real cheap 4x1Tb disc R5. No budget in this case for server level discs. Performance not an issue, just reliability. Which would you choose?
THANKS!

i'd choose hitachi in this case; only ones i never had trouble with.

For the drives I would go with the F1, but using a good raid controller is just as important as selecting the drives if you want the raid array to be somewhat reliable.

Thanks for the input, the controller will be the on-board controller on a HP ML 110, in reallity these are soft raid controllers.
Real low budget here. I always say: you can use cheap disks in a redundant raid: just make sure you set up the alert emails because they will fail..
