Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I am in need of some professional help. I have a DiamondMax Plus 8 20GB hard drive like everyone else here it was working perfectly. I disconnected it to move drives around. I then reconnected it and the bios detects it but in windows nothing sees the drive, also in linux a fdisk /dev/hda displays unable to read HDD. I have tried different settings/jumpers (like slave, master,cs) nothing seams to help. I am hoping there is a way to fix this hdd like put a firmware file back into the drive or something like that? I do usually keep a backup image of the drive but somehow this one i think got deleted awhile back and i did not get back to backing it up.
Thanks again
any help is appricated.
Steven.

Hello,
The BIOS shows NAR61xx
Z or N40P right?
In this case, the SA is damaged, and you need special HW-SW complex to fix this.
If you seek for pro near you this case should be cheap at this point.
