Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I have a drive that is encrypted with McFee's Safeboot software, the drives OS crashed and now it can't boot. Now i cannot access my Data. If you slave it on another machine the first partition is not accessible(gives you the " Do you want to format now" dialog box) and the second partition is not available in my computer, but you can see it in the disk management as a free space.
Has anyone solved such a problem.
Is there any one can help me with getting the Data Back and how much it could cost me to get the data back.

Whatever you do, do NOT click Format. The partitions are encrypted, hence why you are getting this message. If the drive is from a corporate environment, your IT Department will be able to assist you. You need to use the recovery CD that McAfee supply.
