My impression is that the WD2500BEVS is a single plater drive.

Is this correct?

This drive is out of an external drive enclosure, is there anything specific that requires the included mini USB adapter to SATA card?

I've got one clicking and now I'm looking at doner drives, I'll be able to check them out once I get them but any heads up would be great.

Thanks,

All the WD2500BEVS I've seen are two platter, 4 head.

I think maybe the new ones with Blue sticker may be single platter, but most to my knowledge are 2 platter w/ 4 heads.

I just got a 22UST0 in and it's 2 platter 4 heads, H1 is demolished (bent).

It is clearly out of a passport because it has the black squares on it. Was probably dropped/shocked while on.
