SEAGATE HARD DRIVE FROZEN password LOCKED

so one of my family decided to use a program to delete there hard drive.

but as they where doing the reformat the power went of in the house.

the drive in qeastion is a seagate ST9808211A MOMENTUS

it has got what it says a frozen password locked so i can not unlock it with pc3000

anyone know which pin it is to short out

so i can unlock this drive for them

ok i found out that they used a program on hirens bootdisk
and the drive program frozen the hard drive.
so you can not delete it

I agree, password should still be possible to remove. Maybe problem is not ATA lock, but other problems causing problems with identification/interface which reports itself as ATA lock? I have seen some cases in the past where bad interface or bad PCB causes bad ID and ATA lock appears to be present....

If HDDerase v4 was used then you might want to have a read of the documentation readme file.
