AAM releases pressure?

February 8th, 2010, 20:53

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum, looks like a nice place. I'll stay here for a while :)

Does using the AAM setting release pressure on the hard drive when it's in a delicate state, such as a close-to-failing head?

Thanks!

IMO, no. I couldn't imagine even thinking about that when imaging should be done.

Couldn't you use AAM to release pressure during imaging?

The imaging is sequential, there is not a lot of seeking. No benefit.
