is it possible to spin up a seagate HDD without firmware chip.
here is the situation
one of my friend gave me a Seagate 160 gb , it dose not spinup,
i got a seagate 80gb HDD and put it's board to 160 gb, it spin up
so i de assembled the board, the problem was texas SH6950 D chip. i did put back the faulty chip, but not the SPI ROM.
now i found a working SH6950 D and put it on the board.
now the disk do not spin up, coz i've lost the SPI ROM chip
