Hitachi HDS725050KLA360 compatible logic boards

So I ruined a new/refurbished Hard Drive that cost $50 from Geeks.com that I got for my new computer. Long story short I'm impatient and while installing my new video card the plastic "L" SATA portion of the logic board broke off while attached to the cable, rendering the hard drive unable to communicate with anything.

At first I thought all my data would be lost, then realized that what I need to purchase is a replacement drive and use the logic board from that drive with this one.

After reading several forums and posts I came to the conclusion that to be 100% accurate with recovering my hard drive I would have to use a hard drive with the same P/N of 0A32780 (i do not know what it stands for though). After searching high and low for hard drive with the same P/N I found several, although the price is now doubled from that which I payed to geeks.com ($100+s/h)

After searching for more HDS725050KLA360 hard drives I have found many options more in my price range, but remember reading from forums that unless the firmware is 100% the same then the logic board will not work. I have done some research and found that Hitachi uses a board called "PK7500" for these Deskstar hard drives. What are my chances/how do I find compatible logic boards which aren't necessarily the same P/N? I would imagine the firmware hasn't changed much, but would really like an experts opinion on this.

You will also need to transfer at least the NVRAM, possibly the ROM too to make this work.

Would this be something doable with general knowledge of putting together computers? I've built most of my machines, so now I'm curious if I buy a new drive with the same P/N then I will have to transfer the logic board and those RAMs/ ROMs, or is this soldering chips on a motherboard? Something that I am not comfortable with doing.

It's soldering tiny chips from one PCB to another.

If the data is important then please seek pro help, as one mistake with these chips (NVRAM esp.) could turn a $200-$300 recovery into a $2000-$3000 recovery instantly.

But if the data is worthless, then please feel free to have a bash.

Take the boards to a TV repair shop. A junior TV tech with good eyesight and steady hands will easily handle this kind of job.
