ST3640323AS problem to access user data

March 23rd, 2010, 14:56

Drive can not access user data area. Only have black sectors. Have cleared Glist, and did translator regeneration on the dirve.

V4 produces this in terminal

WriteCapInfo
Selection = 0000 CurrentCap 4A8582B0 HDACap 4A8582B0
No update: HDA EQ Current
CurrentHDA 4A8582B0 HDACap 4A8582B0 NativeCap 4A8582B0 48BitCap 4A8582B0 28BitCap 0FFFFFFF
NO Save
User Partition Format Successful - Elapsed Time 1 mins 00 secs
Zone re-format was skipped.

On drive reset in terminal when I power off and on I receive this

InitiateMarkPendingReallocateRequest

Anyone have this problem and can give a few idea on what I might be able to do to access user data.

Sorry FW is SD35

Also when I issue terminal commands to do a translator regeneration I get an error it will not perform this one.

I believe there is new commands for the 7200.12 to do a translator regeneration on this drive. Any ideas on this one
