hi all
i got this drive in for recovery, it has been elsewhere and not too sure of the history but drive has not been opened, i suspect it was simply done as a software recovery for as much as thye could get off the drive.
issue with drive is it will id on pc3000 and i cant access data, did a chead test and found head 1 to be faulty.
repalced heads, did a head test and heads 0 and 1 all good now.
drive will id correctly, however if i try and build an image of the drive it will take an extremely long time, so far 2 million blocks in 20 hours,
tired imaging on both pc 3000 and atola and same results.
if i try and do a read of data directly with DE i am getting lots of software and hardware resets along wih an intermittent slight click, and data cant be read.
hoping someone can provide a bit of info about this drive.
Thank you
