Hello ,
I need your advice for the following situation
1. hdd for recovery data:
Hdd Western Digital 1600JB-00REA0
DATE 14.JAN 2006
DCM:HSCHCTJCA
PCB number:2060-701292-Rev A
2.HDD Donor:
WD2000JB-00GVA0
DATE 16.12.2004
DCM:HSBCTJAH
PCB number2060-001265-001 REV A
I want to follow the following procedure:
swap rom from pcb hdd 1 to pcb hdd 2
change defective head (hdd 1) ,transplant head from hdd 2 to hdd 1
Final
I have practically with defective HDD(hdd1), electronics and functional heads of the donor HDD(hdd 2)
Both models have 6 heads
It is possible to have success in this proceeding or how we should proceed?????

do you have experience in change heads ? aligment etc...
the sucess is better you contact a DR company for that, and not all DR companys can do that work.

These 2 drives are not compatible, additionally you need to fight with the WD head alignment problem...
I suggest to find a company who can handle the alignment problem, before you open the patient drive.
