Today I recieve 2TB Hitachi, HDS722020ALA330. It knocks heads, so heads were changed. Now Hitachi sounds healthy with new heads, I can feel calibration, but no ID.
Is there no option to check SA on these? Also, looking at PCB I can see 8 pin chip with same signiture as ROM chip on 7200.11. Does this mean new Hitachi have abandoned NVRAM?
