Hard Disk Recovery in VAIO notebook

April 28th, 2010, 5:16

As a result of wrong manipulations or incorrect recovery from HDD recovery unit, the recovery partition has been spoiled and erased. Thus, the Hard Disk requires now partitioning and formating. Partition Magic 8.5 reports disk error #110. FDISK utility is unable of correcting that error. PARTINFO utility reports error of inconsistancies in partition tables.

Attempts to correct partition tables manually do not provide understandable results. Any tool to solve the problem? Of course, I am not able to ride the recovery partition off.

First off instead of trying to do this with the method you are going about now clone your HDD. Work on this clone not on the drive that is effected.

If you can not rebuild the partition and use a good recovery program to do this one with then you could have the option of using a DR recovery program you can pay for such as R Studio or Get Data back and see if you can do a raw recovrey of your of files you are looking for. More than likely you have deleted partition information or it could be corrupted. That does not always mean your data is gone.
