Low Level Format Error: HELP!

May 12th, 2010, 5:15

Hi,

I did an LLF to my old hdd samsung a 40G one. The LLF started right and at the beginning of the format, I accidentally click the X button of the LLF window resulting to the cancellation of the low level formatting process. There came alot of errors. "Formatting Error...".

I had to stop the LLF window my forcing my laptop to shut down.

I rebooth the laptop and again tried to LLF my desk top HDD. Anyways the HDD that I am trying to LLF is connected to a USB-IDE/HDD cable.

I observed that the "My Computer" can't detect the HDD anymore. But when I run the LLF software, the HDD is detected. IN short I again proceed to LLF the Samsong 40G HDD.

At 14% format the LLF had an error. a format error.

Please help me salvage my HDD Samsung 40G.
