problem with seagate 500gb sata hard disk

i have a 500 gb seagate sata hard disk, every time i move this hard disk one slot to another it seems to be developing bad sectors. now when checked i it with harddisk sentinal, it is showing that there is spin up problem and has 170 bad sectors and will work for only 6 more days. should i worry. how can i resolve this problem. please help. thanks

what is s.m.a.r.t status of the drive ?

dont trust the fancy programs that give u estimates on how long the drive will last. Backup ur data immediatly. Bad sectors can be marked by MHDD but spin retry is a bad atribute to have. U will probably end up sending the drive back for warranty return. But backup backup backup.
