HardCopy 3 - is it worth the money?

June 3rd, 2010, 3:34

Hi All,

Through my searches on the internet I found this device:
http://www.voomtech.com/hc3.html

I have 2 randomally disconected drives and one with bad case of the read/write heads but still recognize.
Is that device can be the solution for my hard drives?
I mean is that can copy the drive even it disconecte itself on a randommaly time (I think the disk shut itself off after the heads read a very bad sector)

Such in that case:

If it do, it probably worth the money about- 1,000$

Many Thanks!

You need to use an imaging device which has the ability to handle the bad sectors. Looking at your chosen device I would say it would not work very well or at all in your case.

The king of all data recovery imagers without question would have to be the Deepspar unit. A costly but worthwhile investment going by what I have read here.
Also take a look at the Hdduplicator system. It would cost a lot less and would most likely be a cost effective solution in your case. There is a thread in the forum quoting prices etc.

Just a couple of hundred more posts and you'll have all the information you need to start up your DR shop. Who needs hard work and research these days...

the other option is atola imager system new system

in my books its worth the money and is nearly in competition with the deepspar unit
when they release selective mapping for all the drives and seagate.
yep i know its a new tool
but its well built and you can see that when you purchase one.
