format fs=ntfs wrong drive....need recovery

came to friend to install win7 from usb.
first we did that:

to clean usb... but instead for usb it was hard drive with a lots family photos and stuff like that...
tried recover4all, getdataback.
that gave almost nothing but for some system files... :(

any ideas how get it back?

Download ontrack data recovery software. I don't know if it works but you can post results here.

Get Data Back should work in your case. But there is two separate versions for FAT and NTFS. If your hard drive was formatted with FAT and you use NTFS version, nothing can be found.
Did you install Win7 on that drive?
