MHT2080AT

Hi,

I've got 2 of these drives that have the same behavior.

On powerup they get ready after half a minute, they identify correctly (model and sn) but give a capacity of 2TB (=0xFFFFFFFE lba). On reading every lba i get an abrt.
Modules seems to be read without error but I guess one or some are corrupt.
Could anyone give me a kick in the right direction?

Thanks for your help.

PS If not comfortable with discussing this in public feel free to pm

If using the PC3000, I'd replace the external ATA cable to make sure that there isn't a problem with a data line. Also check the PATA pins on the adapter - make sure one isn't bent, broken, or poorly soldered.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, i'm not using pc3k, but my ide cable and the connections are ok. What make me think of module corruption is that the problem arised after a hotswap as it served as a donor (for one of the 2 drives, I got the second in that state but never managed to get it read a single sector).
As far is I understand, fujitsu passport information is disseminated in several modules, so could it be a 3d module corruption?
thanks for any help.
