Removing Master Password from Fujitsu MHH2048AT Drive

June 15th, 2010, 9:30

Hi

I have been given a Fujitsu MHH2048AT Drive to replace my faulty original in my laptop but receive a mesage on bootup asking for a master password.

I have tried all the usual things to reformat, repartition, even tried to low-level format but the drive isn't recognised because of this password.

The only other information I have is that the drive has come from a Dell latitude CS although I did not see the Dell myself.

Can anybody give me some real helpful advise on how to remove this password please.

Thanks

Since you don't care about the data (it seems) you can secure erase it... should be able to google for more info

After having a search I realise the tool is Secure Erase.
