June 20th, 2010, 8:34

Hi

I have a hitachi 80GB IDE drive

IC25N080ATMR04-0
P/N: 13G1264
MLC: H69519
PCB: 14R9060
J41063D

On power on it gives some clicking sounds and then some strange like screeching noise, you can view here

DDI does not detect. Attached screenshot of DDI status on this hard disk

Is this bad head ? what is the best way to test and recover data?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Bad head(s) / possible media damage.

Best way to recover depends upon specifics, which you have not discovered.
