Maxtor D740X-6L - clicking noise

Hi

I have a maxtor D740X-6L, after startup give few clicking noise.

The platter seems to keep spinning for long time after startup.

Is this head crash problem?

Force it init as now probably ids as VIPER and check... check.... check....
Or ... ehm... see what the big AGERE is "eating" ;)
This should wipe away every doubt.

P.S. forget head swap.

Check the SA , if you're not sure about head status, check read channel with a DDA.

Note : if can't read at all SA it will spin down.

Note #2 : check PCB for functionality first.
