seagate hyperterminal

June 28th, 2010, 9:02

Hello All,

I am experimenting on a couple seagate 7200.11 models with the BSY problem. Both are OEM (one HP24 and one DE12).

When going through the Hyperterminal process on the DE12, I make it through the S.M.A.R.T. erase with no problems. But when the prompt comes back up to do the partition regeneration, HT no longer accepts commands. The cursor just blinks. I've tried going under properties/settings and checked the "Echo typed characters locally" box. That shows the text again when I type, but when I hit "enter" nothing happens.

Any suggestions to overcome this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed!

Guess it helps to pay attention to the prompt...
