fujitsu MHT2040 not detected

July 6th, 2010, 3:09

Hello

We have problem, fujitsu drive is not detected in MHDD anyhow.

We hear calibration, but nothing in MHDD.

no BUSY, no DRSC, no AMNF

Can be problem PCB or is it SA?

I wouldn't think it was the SA on this one. I am not aware of ever seeing one spin and show nothing on the Status/Error registers.

Yes can happen, instead.
Typical : at startup is BSY, after calibration or partial calibration, nothing.

If "no register" activity at all, I would check the interface section.

There is no BSY also

If you can exclude cabling problem or configuration, then electronics are first suspected part.

If the drive spins up and no sign of ata registers then :
If you can exclude cabling problem or configuration, then electronics are first suspected part.

No other options.
