My WD hard disk appears as a Samsung after passing LLF

July 6th, 2010, 13:45

I have a Western Digital Blue Scorpio WD2500BEVT-00ZCT0 2.5" SATA and I have it installed in an external enclosure. By a mistake I pass a low-level format with the HDD-Low-Level-Format-Tool and now my WD appears as a Samsung hard disk. I tried to pass WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows as described in this post but after 5 hours my WD still shows as Samsung.
If someone could give me advice or recommend a tool that could correct it I would greatly appreciate this.

PD: Sorry by my English

It's can not be.

I think that your WD has internal failure (heads, SA, PCB,,, etc). The fact that the drive enclosure is (Samsung). Is it right ?
