Recover Bad CD with DDrescue?

July 26th, 2010, 8:03

Hi

Did anyone tried to recover data from a bad cd, that isn't recognized by Linux?
I have installed Recover Disc 2.0 (demo version) and it could find some files but I want to try ddrescue.
How can I recover it?

Thanks

Then I use proprietary tools (hw). Some time ago I had the need for it and discovered that apparently on the market there was nothing SERIOUS so made something. Many labs have a solution for it , at least they claim, so maybe you can outsource.

And what have you made? Your own tool? You don't use software?
