HDT722516DLAT80

Hey guys,

I have a clicking HDT722516DLAT80 that's been giving me problems. The drive will not go ready after a hotswap, and I know the heads are good as well (swapped patient to donor and heads work fine in donor). I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a case where the ribbon connecting the PCB and motor on the underside of the drive has gone bad. I personally haven't heard of this, but I don't know why it wouldn't be possible. I was just wanting some input from you guys to see if you've ever seen or heard of such.

Thanks

AS patient heads work in donor, flex seems unlike. I would check for SA problems / modules OR problems at PCB level (NVRAM etc.).

This is what I understood from the post.

Last thing to consider is incompatibility between headstacks.

Have you ruled out bad PCB?

You tried starting the drive from resources and checking the FW?

Hotswap is not a good idea on Hitachi btw, due to the SA start addresses being different.
