It should be relatively inexpensive recovery if you take it to a pro.
Someone like Shawn aka Pcimage on this forum, will help you fast and easy.

you may want to brush up on your skills and knowledge before buying pc3000.

Why are you planning to buy it? Are you starting a data recovery company?

Is punctuation now unkewl?

Or is this the latest "stream of consciousness" writing style?

You really need to get this cloned before you work further. If case is important, maybe outsource it to someone who has more capabilities to get this done. Maybe you should contact pcimage, he could get this done with the deepspar for you.

You going to help the guy, which you so often complained that others did not, or you going to mock him?

I read dozens of posts every day. I go to great lengths to make my replies legible, intelligible, and well referenced. The least someone can do is to reach for their Shift and punctuations keys, and if s/he is a native English speaker, to pay at least rudimentary attention to grammar and spelling. Noone should be expected to indulge their pretensions.

In any case, this "James Joyce-like" posting style contravenes the forum guidelines.

So how do you treat people with dyslexia and other difficulties? Or people who do not speak english as a first language?

I am sure that if I ever need your help I will dot my t's and cross my i's

Now you're being deliberately obtuse.

The OP's post was intentionally illiterate. As such, it is pretentious and disrespectful, and therefore deserving of criticism.

OTOH, anyone who can converse in a foreign language, however poorly, is to be applauded.

Someone has bad grammar, and because of this does not meet the required standards that must be met in order to 'deserve' your help?

And I am not obtuse, just trying to understand the rules you are setting for newbies.

the very newbies who you decided needed your help because they recieved criticism from others....

Here is a word for you: hipocryte

p.s notice the bad spelling

I work on dozens of hard drives every day. I go to great lengths to make my work safe, intelligent, correct, and successful. The least someone can do is reach for the Search button and read a few posts, and if s/he is trying to do some DIY work, to pay at least rudimentary attention to other threads dealing with the same problem. Noone should be expected to indulge their pretensions.

But for some reason I don't think you'll understand and/or agree.

Quite an easy job. With the right tools!
You should buy DDI or DC before PC-3000! go and read some more posts on this topic- some heated discussions on this forum about that.

PS Hows my spelling? I am making more of an effort recently. :P

Once again you are being deliberately obtuse.

I don't presume to make the rules, or set the standards. That's the job of the education system, the forum moderator, or netiquette.

The OP, OTOH, has offered his own peculiar rules, and is expecting others to accommodate his pretensiousness. In fact he has intentionally made his post illegible. Literary licence may be acceptable, but vanity and arrogance are fair targets for criticism.

What you have done is to construct a straw man argument, claiming that I'm some grammar pedant. As much as I dislike SMS-ese and any other distortions of the language that affect its legibility, this is clearly an issue of vanity.

An important argument for legibility, especially in an international forum, is that it makes a post searchable and translatable. Last time I looked, Google's translator did not have SMS-ese as a language choice. Furthermore, if you feed the OP's post into the translator, it translates as jibberish.

Usually when I see such posts, I grit my teeth and put it down to the vagaries of youth and the staidness of my old age. But trehe hvae to be lmitis, owshtreie we cluod see nsneonse scuh as tihs.

Furthermore, in answer to hddguy's criticism, a person with a name like mine, and who lives in a multicultural society, can hardly be accused of being anglocentric. In fact I have lived and worked for several years in various Asian countries, so I understand language difficulties from both perspectives. It is for precisely this reason that I endeavour to make my posts clear and legible. Others can judge the value of the content.

Agreed with fzakarb...

But the problem is since internet went main stream and in some countries computers average 2 per household - but the average IQ is 60-70..... We can only thank chroome for building in dictionary function into anything we type-- for the rest- however it sounds is the wey ets spilt.(You should know that from living in poor Asia)

This should be moved to a language forum.
