erased dvd

Hi,

I have a dvd that has been erased, and now after a quick format, I can see total capacity of 0kb.
I believe all data is still there, but how can I make an image of full dvd?

Please help.

If no joy, I can help (proprietary HW solution even if TOC is FUBAR - oh, well, until a certain extent....) but you have to send the media !

I've tried IsoBuster already, and again: Windows shows capacity of 0KB, IsoBuster shows capacity of 20.8MB, and IsoBuster let me create image just for 20.8MB. Where is the rest? Why I cannot see more than that?

Common misunderstandings about dvdisaster:

dvdisaster can not make defective media readable again. Contents of a defective medium can not be recovered without the error correction data.


Such functions are outside the scope of dvdisaster's internal design and goals.

Well, it says media is good, but cannot read any sector off it, apart from just 1 sector.

Still I don't have access to full capacity, apart from 20.8Mb

Well if iso buster cannot copy the sector to iso i suggest you give Mr BlackST a try- he has some modded equipment to read the secotrs other OS does not want to.
I had RW cd that showing need to format in windows- but i recovered files ok when copy to image using isobuster.
No other software came close.

This is because the session remained the correct size and allowed access.

You could cheat.

Initialize drive from another same DVD disk (сompletely filled), and сhange disks (HOT SWAP) through the top cover of drive while it is spinning. Don't use any buttoms. After that make image to file and scan it.

This method was found by us six years ago and still successfully help many times

There you go- now all you need to-do is find a donor cdrom- rip the covers off- dont break any plastics or it wont spin up. And be fucken careful when the cd is spinning at full speed- if that thing flies of mate- it could cut deep into your flesh!
