It's Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1GB and someone dropped it from desk. After this happening, it didn't spinning and sound noisy. Of course it is not detectable on computer. There is many important data for personnal and work. Especially, I saved my sons pic from 2002!!!
Is there any way to recover data?

Not easily.
Very likely you have a frozen spindle motor. Not a simple task, especially difficult for a DIY.
This is not what you wanted to hear, but im afraid professional assistance is the only option.

There are valuable members of this forum near VA.
I365 may be the top-notch option but rather expensive.
BEWARE and KEEP OFF from we-do-everything repair shops and things like that : refer to data recovery professionals only with a reputation.

^ This, and don't use BestBuy in this situation, their success rates for this specific type of drive are currently low.

I agree with the above. I am 99% sure it is a seized motor in the drive. If you do not want your data back then take it to best buy

Talk with DRC, he is in you area

For this type of work you are looking at around the $1000 area or more. So you should figure out how much you want to spend on this.

For the record I am not a company but an engineer at a company... I don't have any control over the price or even if I will be the one to see your drive if it comes here. This is why I don't advertise or tell people to send me drives. I did send the OP a list of the companies that I am aware of that have labs here in the area.
