Hi,

We need Fw for WD3200AAJS-08B4A0.

We suspect a ATA mod defect. Actually, we access only ROM mod (000a,000b,0001,0030,0047). No clicking sound. ROM mod acces with Slow Mode SA. ROM backup OK. In SD, head map 0,1 and head OK.

Sounds like you could have a ATA mod problem in this one. In slow mode can you read the mods on this drive? If so try and check them to see what you read and which ones are bad.

I can read only ROM mod only in slow mode (000a,000b,0001,0030,0047).

I can't read all other mod in slow mode.

Ok,

Some news...

In my previews posts, heads are "read-only" => also it was impossible rewrite mod 0011 ATA.

Now, I can read all mod (slow mode). It's very very slow.

Now, I have only 5 mod that I can't read: 0011 (ATA mod), 0012, 0013, 0080 and 0019.

Now I can determine the version of defect modules: version 00050079.

Now, I can find the same ATA mod inside a WD1600AAJS-00B4A0. I put this ATA mod and now HDD is detected in High-speed.

If I can copy all data, I send the FW to HDDGuru Files.
