Fujitsu 2,5" IDE MHS2040AT

September 2nd, 2010, 6:39

Hi

I have this disk that isn't recognized by BIOS or even the SD Doctor. It spins OK, no noises, but not detected. Is this PCB or FW error?
Thanks

Im pretty sure that the MHS series suffer with the same problems as the MPG/MPF series. Been a while though so cant be certain.

Can you read SA modules at all? Im not familiar with SD doctor for Fujitsu so am not sure how (or if :D ) it works.

No opinions about this?

We seldom see firmware problems on 2.5" Fujitsu drives. Yes, it could be the PCB but more likely heads are the issue. You can check the PCB by getting a donor of same model with same firmware version.
