Hi all
i have 1 drive from a 2 drive raid system that is clicking rather loudly , After 10 clicks the drive spins down, i tried the pcb/rom swap same thing happens.
i swapped heads, drive now spins up and sounds like it is attempting to recalibrate, then begins soft clicking, however the drive this time will remain spinning and will not spin down as with the original heads.
drive still remains bsy.
As for head compatability i dont think it is possible to find a closer match, both drives are identical model, fw,country, and from the same system installed at the same time.
Have others been having an issue with head swaps on these larger seagate drives not being fuly compataible?
if anyone can share their thoghts on this one it is greatly appreciated.
thank you

It has nothing to do with "ES.2 in BSY state"

this definitely is not a bsy state issue, drive is clicking not as badly with new heads but still clicking so is not getting ready

Soft clicking for Es Family is usual state when it has standart CC problem. Check it.
