Most "Antique" Drive From The Claws Of Time

September 13th, 2010, 1:54

We guys usually have some of the most classical drives in our inventory. I would like to know which is oldest drive in your inventory, oldest enough to be called "Antique" :)

What I have is a 24 MB WD one, where there is an external switch to manually move the internals with the defects being required to be added manually after the low level format.

PS: Does someone happen to have a Ramac here?

Anyone ever physically laid eyes on the infamous Connor "Chinook" CP-5500? 512 mb 5.25 SCSI? The drive was supposedly one of the few drives that ever went into production using dual actuator arms. The patent drawings for it look really cool and I've always wanted to see pictures of the inside of one and/or own one.

I recently did a recovery on a 200MB Maxtor. As for drives in inventory the oldest I have is a 30MB Conner CP2034.
