Please somebody Help me i have Seagate ST380817AS 80GB Sata harddisk fried. in this one component is burned.value of this component is QE R521. i cannot identify this componenet whetere it is a diode or resister or capacitor.please some body help me to replace this component with proper value and equivalent value.thank u

Yeah. Its a TVS diode. Snip it out and ur hdd might work if the spike have not done any additional damage. Search for TVS like DRC suggested for additional info ( tons of it on the forum )

QE is a marking code identifying the part number.
R521 is a date code indicating week 21 of 2005.
