Quantum fireball LCT 15GB

September 23rd, 2010, 21:00

Hello everybody I am new here at hddguru forums, I have a problem with a old quantum 15GB which holds all my songs I made and that I bought. I will post a link to a youtube video I created with the hard drive problem. But when I switch it on it spins up normally then spins up again then goes back to normal speed again and initializes but then it will freeze the computer and I have to wait about 5 mins for the pc to become un-froze.

Here is the video link so you can hear what its doing:

Thank you for your help David.

Very bad. Can be a range of problems but usually this symptom is internal failure and these quantums are between the most difficult to recover because of their design. To confirm diagnose the drive should be seen, so I don't pronounce.
