You have a bad attitude, this will never help get what you want.
A little appreciation for others who take the time to read and respond would not be so bad.
I think too many people see this forum not as a discussion forum but a mandatory Q&A for DIY data recovery.

... or DIFM / DIFSE data recovery
(Do It For Money / Do It For Someone Else).

The problem is he asking strange questions.
What makes one RS-232 convertor better than the other? The plastic box it comes in?
They will do the same thing if you do it DIY for 5USD or buy one from a DIY Shop 25USD.
?

Must be the reason because many people with "el cheapo" stuff , possessed by DIY lust, have completely fucked up the interface ports of their invaluable drives ?

only BlackST has understood what I mean in this post , if you check market there are so many chipset manufacturers like silicon labs etc. My post was to know from those peoples who are using tools of the trade everyday and can better guide right solution.
pls. note my posts are never arrogant and insultive ,but if someone is intensionally harassing you ,is it ok to be quiet and accept your own insult for no reason? I can understand rules of the forum and one can check in not a single post I had tried to make someone inferior. "

So you mean I should be a spectator reading derogatory remarks on me and should not defend myself? If this has been case with you ,will you show same attitude ,if someone raised doubts about you / your company /your skills and post something wrong will you accept it.

My comments are fair and intellectual. I stated that a 5USD rs323 is exactly the same as 25USD one.
BlackST just pointed out the the difference is in the person who is using it. 5usd or 25usd if you have no idea you are bollocks it anyway.
Any way this is not a college where tutors will direct you into the right direction. Go and find out YOURSELF - post your finding here so that everybody can benefit NOT JUST YOU.

Well, it's not completely exact.
I don't use $10 soldering iron, I demonstrated "live" I can use a $10 and NOT make disasters (it's me that make the difference), but in any case a $10 tool has higher probabilities to do disasters in the wrong hands and - albeit lesser - in expert hands.
Anyway , to cut a long story short : all the stuff you find at low price have in common the same "quick and dirt" starting design and probably 99% are copied each other, have no protection toward the drive and have also other problems, but the simple x232 chip works anyway. Seen also many drives with dead comm port due to adapters (the rest was working).
If you really want to make yourself a bullet proof and bullet safe adapter you can do it easily, BUT it's not a 1 chip and 4 caps solution. Some members of this forum have seen what I made a lot of years ago. I didn't think about making series production, it was intended for internal use only, but it really works for me (the "deluxe" version had many useful features).

I completely agree with you BlackST.
Anybody with experience can use a $10 Radioshack soldering iron- but that is highly not recommended in DR because you are working on delicate equipment and de soldering an SMD with that $10 usually causes allot of problems.
But again- if you, me or any body here give a "learner" good equipment and try to teach him- the odds are he will bollocks it first, second and third time.
The same applies to everything else.
At the end of the day- the question was generally useless as this forum has MANY threads about rs323- search engines has ten fold more.
So this entire thread is theatricality a waste of space.
I don't mind sharing - but i hate it when people try to grab things.

Think
i guess that alot of us are reading many posts here, and whoever had some spare time will answer, and many who knows do not bother and respond but @ the end and i do believe that he did not say anything wrong to have you telling him
Shut UP @ least ignore his post and wait for the proper answer from others, and i do think that who ever reads your post will just ignore your post even when he knows the answer.
I can ask you about something like:
1- can i have this please?
2- give this!!!
1st. answer means something, the 2nd. means give me or else
both have the same output but is better than the other as far as i know
anyway, again good luck

if you do not like the direction no problem.

I am feeling sad about you , if you could not differntiate between $5 &$25 thing.
Why most of the pros prefer original acelab pc3000 rather than cheaper chinese? I hope you are intelletcual enough to distinguish between quality components , same board can be made using inferior pcb / older chipset and low grade capacitors. Do you prefer low cost chinese stuff? I have not asked to give me training. If you dont know the answer why making cry foul over it. There are so may peoples to answers & I got answer as well. If you dont know answer /do not want to answer ,simple solution to keep quiet.

If this thread is waste why you have spent time in posting & wasting other peoples time. If you are not capable to answer help someone ,why to waste other peoples time? why dont you concentratate on your work instead of useless posts? as simple as that

Learner, you really have a serious attitude problem. Go sweep some floors in Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010 to make your fellow countrymen proud instead of arguing nonsense.
