Hello guru,
I have recieved this drive : HTS541612J9SA00 - FW/SBDIC7UP with heads stuck to platters. The customer was care about his data.
I solved this and return the heads to the ramp and successfuly clonned the whole drive to a donor drive and the customer got the whole data and he was very happy with it.
My question is : when trying to scan the drive it seems very fine without any bad sector or even delayed sectors and the SMART attributes are all very good. But when I'm trying to write it shows IDNF ?
I need to know the problem just for curiousty.
Thanks in advance.

The answer was sent privately because it was a totally different problem.
YOUR problem is that your drive has reached end of life most probably, and with the "tools" you have you can't do much, you can kill the drive instead (if not already killed). Under a certain circumstance it is still possible to squeeze out some more life (with uncertain result) but require dedicated equipment.
