Hello! I have a problem with a disk Seagate 7200.11 st31500341AS
It spins normaly everything ok but I am getting SMART error on bios while booting. It is detectable.
I login to windows (win 7x64) and then I can see it on my computer but mouse pointer freezes all the time and i can't have any access to the data I see them but when i double click for further folder browsing it freeze and I need to reset my computer. I put it on an external usb and esata case but again i have the same problem. Will the fix with nokia cable work on my? What else should i try at least backup my data and then sending it back for RMA.
Thanks.

Image to a good drive using non-windows imaging s/w.
e.g. dd_rescue or Media Tools Pro
Better still if you really need your data, send to a pro.

Better to do this and get off your data and RMA the drive. Never trust a failing drive clone it ASAP work with clone and go from there.
