HELP ME MY WDD PASSPORT 500 GB NOT WORKING

It is getting detected, but cannot be activated or formatted,

In the disk management it shows like below, but cannot be activated nor be formatted

tried wd data life guard diagnostics it shows the drive status as passed

Tried hdd low level format tool - format error occured at offset

please do let me know if there is anything that can be done to correct the hdd.

Try running MHDD and see if this drive is PW protected. There are tools in MHDD that can help you to determine more what is wrong with this one. Download it from here

Only if you can manage to run MHDD on USB drive
Which is not always possible

By password protection I meant WD SmartWare password
