November 17th, 2010, 14:42

i have uploaded a file which i recovered from a hdd but cannot be
opened for some reason.( the drive is a Toshiba 2,5'' MK3259GSX and i
got all data from heads 0 ,1. the 2 is pretty damaged and i am hoping
if i manage to recover that doc file will not need to change heads)
the link to download
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2vdtpr
i bought a software, Recovery for Word , but didn't help.
any ideas?
thank you

Actually the file is corrupted but not encrypted. The file is 57 pages and I can see about 30 full pages of readable text in creek language, as I used web translation to check it.
You can retrieve text from files without the OLE objects, graphics and macros, by using MS-Word itself to recover corrupted files by selecting “Recover Text From any File” option, and not opening it by double-clicking or open as “DOC” format.

Good luck!
