Hi, Great program!
I have a problem with an HDD that is failing and I'm trying to erase it before RMA.
When I start ERASE command in MHDD 4.6 it begins at 2000+KB/Sec but then drops after a few seconds to 63KB/Sec and stays solid on 63KB/Sec, no 64 or 62.
Is this 63KB/Sec indicate a specific PIO mode that the HDD is fallen down to? Is there any thing to try for a faster erase? At this speed it will take over 1 year to erase this size drive.
Please any ideas or advice I would be thankful.

Yes I tried also the wipe functions in HDAT2 4.5.3 and Media Tools Pro 5.1. They are all incredibly slow.
Is this 63KB/Sec in MHDD the PIO mode 1? it seems the drive starts fast at normal speed then something on the board tells it to switch to very slow speed.
After some time it will say write error, but if I unplug and replug the drive power and hit retry there is no write error on the same position where it says write error before.
This is a WD15EADS-00P8B0, from an external 'WD MyBook'. I try connected straight to SATA port or with WD's USB adapter but same problems either way.
Any ideas?
