hello friends,
i had an 1,5 tb external hdd drive from western digital with some bad sectors. so i used hdd regenerator 1.61 to fix the broken sektors it had fixed about 200 before i went to bed. this morning when i returned to my computer hdd regenerator had stopped showing an error that my external hdd could not be found. so i restarted my computer and now my harddrive is lost. when im using R-Studio it shows my harddrive but the size is -1 what the heck? i cant belive that hdd-regenerator which should help me in some way destroyed all of my files. you would save my @ss if you could help me anyway. thanks,

after reading a few threads it seems that it was a really really bad idea to use this so called terminator. so even if the files are gone, maybe someone has a suggestion to formate the device or anything like this? or is the only solution to throw it away?

Most probably the drive is self-isolated and only pro intervention can try to revive it. Connect the drive directly to a pc and see if it is recognised correctly at POST. if not /seen with factory alias, there's nothing you can do without professional equipment.

i tried it via sata but it didn't showed up. guess i have to save some money for future.
do you know how much the average price is for rescuring at least some of the files?
