Help:While formatting in XP my samsung 120GB HDD stuck at 2%

While formatting during XP installation the SAMSUNG HDD 120Gb stuck at 2% and continue for 3 hours even.

Any remedy???

Change disk.

run MHDD scan on the drive. U will probably get a lot of bad sectors on the drive. It can be cut down a notch and made usable again, but u need tools for it. Its not worth it on a 120 GB drive. Cheaper to buy a new one.
